Instructions

  1. Traditional Mounting

    • 1

Choose a location to put the address plaque. Make sure that the location is easily viewable from the street, out of the way of bushes and trees.

    • 2

Hold the plaque up to the wall where you wish to mount it. Mark on the wall with a pencil the location of the holes in the plaque.

    • 3

Use the pencil marks as a guide to drill slightly into the wall with the drill. Place the plaque on the wall, insert the screws into the holes in the plaque and drill the screws into the wall. If installing the plaque with nails, place the plaque on the wall, insert the nails into the holes in the plaque, and hammer the nails into the wall.

    Blind Mounting

    • 4

Place a piece of paper on the back of the address plaque. Address plaques for blind mounting will have holes to insert the threaded rods. Mark on the paper with a pencil the location of these holes.

    • 5

Place the paper onto the location where you wish to have the address plaque. Drill the wall in the location of the marks on the paper. The drill bit should be the same size as the threaded rods.

    • 6

Screw the threaded rods into the back of the address plaque.

    • 7

Slide the threaded rods into the wall. To make the address plaque more secure, put cement into the holes in the wall before inserting the threaded rods.

    Hanging Bar

    • 8

Line up the address plaque hanging bar where you wish to install it. Mark on the pole or wall with a marker the location of the screw holes. If installing the hanging bar on a pole, you will need to purchase an address plaque hanging bar with a round mount.

    • 9

Screw a hole in the wall or pole with a drill on top of the marks made in step one.

    • 10

Line the hanging bar base up with the screw holes and secure with screws.

    • 11

Hang the address plaque onto the hanging bar with the hooks provided in the hanging bar kit.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you wish to mount the address plaque onto a stake or column instead of a wall, follow the instructions above for traditional mounting. If installing on a stake, use a hammer to secure the stake in the ground.

  • Consider installing a light near the address plaque to make it visible at night.

  • If mounting the address plaque onto a hollow wall, insert the screw into a toggle bolt.

  • If mounting the address plaque into a wooden wall, use a wood screw.
