Use a stand to relieve back strain while working on a needlework project.

Embroidery is hard work. The constant repetition quickly takes its toll on the wrists and fingers and holding an embroidery circle can cause weariness on the back. One solution for this problem is using a lazy needlework stand. A lazy needlework stand either sits on the ground or on a surface such as a table and allows the user to work without holding the weight of the frame. The more upgraded stands even include a light and stand for the pattern.

Instructions

    • 1

Loosen the skein pieces and position your embroidery fabric in the center. Tighten the screws so that the fabric is firmly in place.

    • 2

Adjust the height of the stand so that you can rest your back comfortably while working.

    • 3

Set your pattern in the pattern holder and adjust it so that it is at a comfortable height.

    • 4

Turn the light so that it points directly on your needlework piece. This will prevent eye strain while you are sewing.
