How to Hook Up Headphones to a TV When the Headphone Jack Doesn't Work
If the headphone jack on your TV is broken, it doesn't mean you can't connect a headset. Most newer TVs have at least one set of RCA audio output jacks which send audio signals to external speakers. Connect your headset to these RCA audio output ports on your TV using an adapter, which you can purchase online or at any local electronics store.

Locate the RCA audio output jacks on your television. On most TVs, they are located on the back panel. The jacks are color-coded red and white, Consult your TV owner's manual if you cannot find or identify the RCA audio jack.

Turn off the TV.

Plug the RCA connectors on the adapter into the corresponding colored jacks on the TV.

Plug your headphones into the 3.5 mm female connection on the adapter. The audio from the TV now plays through the headphones.
