Canon Dr-2580C Instructions

The Canon DR-2580C document scanner allows users to scan a maximum of 25 black-and-white documents per minute with a 200 dpi output. The DR-2580C supports USB 2.0 and is able to scan immediately after being turned on without a start-up delay. Documents are fed through the device and ejected out the back of the device.

Instructions

  1. Positioning the Paper

      Open the document feed tray by pulling it toward you.

      Switch the "Feed Selection" lever to "Page Separation Mode."

      Place the documents to be scanned into the feed tray face-up with the document guides aligned with the paper size. Note the load limit mark on the document guide. Do not exceed this limit as this could cause a paper jam.

    Scanning the Documents through the Application

      Open CapturePerfect 3.0, the included scanning software.

      Select "Scan."

      Click "Select Scanner" and select the DR-2580C. Click "OK."

      Click "Scan" again. Select "Scanner Settings" to specify information such as "Page Size."

      Press "Scan." Select a scan option such as "Scan 1 Page" or "Scan Batch to Print." To save files to the computer, select "Scan Batch to File." Scanning will begin automatically after you select an option.

      Scan without opening an application first by placing the documents in the feed tray and then pressing the "Job" button. You will then be prompted to choose an application to scan to.
