How to Download DotA Maps

Defense of the Ancients, also known as DotA, is a popular Warcraft 3 scenario that allows players to control heroes to destroy their opponent's Ancient, a building. The team that destroys the Ancient claims victory in this scenario. Unlike the main Warcraft 3 game, DotA focuses on using the heroes as opposed to creating buildings and resource management.

Things You'll Need

• Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne installed and patched

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser and go to playdota.com.

2. Click the download button on the right sidebar.

3. Choose to download either the latest map or the stable map.

4. Click "Start" and "Computer." Double-click the drive 3 on which Warcraft is installed.

5. Double-click the "Program Files" folder. Double-click "Warcraft III," "Maps" and "Download."

6. Copy and paste the DotA map file in to this folder to make it available in your Warcraft installation.
