How to Get Electabuzz in "Pokemon Diamond" Only
Electabuzz is a valuable electric-type Pokemon who can literally eat electricity. That makes him valuable in battle, but it can't be caught in the wild in "Pokemon Diamond." The only way to get him into "Diamond" is to catch an Elekid. If you use the Elekid in battles and feed it rare candy, it can increase its level to level 30. At that point, it naturally evolves into Electabuzz.

Walk through the grassy areas near either the Valley Windworks or the southern part of Route 205 to encounter wild Elekids.

Use medium strength Pokemon, with defenses again electric type Pokemon, to battle the wild Elekid you encounter. Battle until the Elekid's HP, or Hit Point, level is almost gone. Do not completely defeat the Elekid or the capture method will not work.

Throw a Pokeball at the weakened Elekid. Keep throwing Pokeballs until Elekid is caught.

Use Elekid frequently in your Pokemon battle queue to increase its Experience Points, which in turn raises the Elekid's level. Do not let the Elekid get defeated in battle.

Give Elekid items such as Rare Candy, which can help raise its Experience Points.

Tips & Warnings
Some items you can carry, such as the Experience Up, distribute Experience Points to all of the Pokemon in your queue even if they don't battle. This can quicken the evolution process.
