Decorating Bubble Bottles
-
1
Purchase small bottles of bubble liquid from a party or wedding supply store. The bottles will include soapy liquid and a bubble-blowing wand attached to the lid.
-
2
Cut a 6-inch length of ribbon for each bottle. Tie the ribbon in a bow around the neck of the bottle and scrape against the loose ends of the ribbon with scissors to create an attractive curl.
-
-
3
Cut wired flowers or stars so the wire is about 3 inches long. Wrap the wire around the mouth of the bottle; tuck the end of the wire under the wrapped part of the wire to secure the decoration. Use tiny white or silver roses for a wedding event or colorful stars for a birthday party.
Inflating Bubble-Shaped Mylar Balloons
-
4
Attach a standard regulator to a helium tank. You can rent helium tanks from party supply retailers. Do not use the automatic shut-off regulator on the helium tank, as it will prevent the large bubble balloon from inflating properly.
-
5
Open the bubble balloon package and remove the balloon.
-
6
Insert a plastic stick through the neck of a standard latex balloon until it reaches the top of the balloon. Roll the balloon tightly around the stick.
-
7
Insert the latex balloon into the neck of the bubble balloon so that the necks are at the same level. Remove the plastic stick.
-
8
Place the neck of the bubble balloon over the helium tank's nozzle and turn it on to give a single puff of helium. Turn off the tank and pinch the bubble balloon's opening shut.
-
9
Place the neck of the latex balloon over the helium tank's nozzle and inflate it fully. Remove the latex balloon's neck and pinch it shut.
-
10
Inflate the bubble balloon fully, until the wrinkles along the seam disappear.
-
11
Pinch and twist the necks of both balloons to prevent helium from escaping.
-
12
Make a double-slip knot with a 2-foot-long piece of curling ribbon. Place the knot's loop over the neck of the balloons and pull it tightly.
-
13
Wrap each free end of the ribbon around the neck of the balloon separately and secure them with a square knot.
-
14
Curl the ends of the ribbon.
Bubble-Blowing Machine
-
15
Rent or purchase a bubble machine from a party supply outlet.
-
16
Place the bubble machine on a flat surface. It will not work properly if placed on more than a 5-degree incline.
-
17
Remove the two screws on the side of the machine and lift off the top to access the fluid tank.
-
18
Fill the fluid tank with bubble fluid and replace the top and screws.
-
19
Turn on the bubble machine for a flow of bubbles. Drain the fluid tank before moving the machine.
