How to Write Links in YouTube Messages
YouTube is primarily used to post videos for your online audience to browse and enjoy. However, the site also features several social networking components. YouTube users can comment on clips, "like" videos, create playlists, customize profiles and send private messages. If you want to send a link in a YouTube message, you won't find a "link" button on the main message screen, but sending a link is possible and takes just seconds.
Instructions

1
Visit youtube.com and log in to your account.
-
2
Navigate to the profile of the user to whom you want to send a link. You can visit profiles by clicking on a person's name from within the comment field or next to the "uploaded by" heading of a video.
-
-
3
Click "Send Message" from underneath the person's main profile image and account details. (see References 1) This is typically found halfway down the profile, on the left-hand side of the screen.
-
4
Enter your text into the message and include the link anywhere in the body of the text. Your link must be preceded by "http://"; a message containing only "www" or the ".com" ending is not interpreted as a URL by YouTube.
-
5
Click the "Send Message" button. Any text with "http://" in front of it is converted into a link by YouTube. YouTube's message center does not contain a link button, but it is set up to create links automatically.
