How to Tell If Your Droid Incredible Is Water Damaged
When you purchase a Droid Incredible secondhand, it's important to check for water damage. Phones that have been exposed to liquid are not covered under warranty. While many water damaged phones work perfectly fine, problems can crop up later if there is corrosion inside. At the very least, knowing whether a phone has water damage gives you a bargaining chip when negotiating the price.

1
Check the exposed metal areas on the phone. Look for spots of rust or discoloration inside the headset jack and charging port.
-
2
Turn off your Droid Incredible by holding down the "Power" button and touching "Power off."
-
-
3
Turn the phone over so you are looking at the back.
-
4
Remove the back cover by lifting the notch on the bottom edge of the phone.
-
5
Locate the liquid damage indicator sticker near the camera lens. If the sticker has a white background printed with red X markings, the phone has not come in contact with water. If the sticker is solid pink, it has been exposed to liquid.
