How to Add a Blinkie to Facebook

Originally developed as a social networking tool for college students, Facebook has over 740 million active users (as of August, 2011).

Facebook is a social networking website where you can keep in touch with friends, families and fans. You can add Blinkies -- icons that resemble characters or toys -- to your Facebook profile by installing the Blinkies by Marilyn Facebook app. Facebook applications are developed by outside developers that add extra functions or utility to your Facebook profile. Once you've installed the Blinkies by Marilyn app you can send and receive Blinkies with your friends.

Instructions

1. Log on to Facebook, then type "Blinkie" into the search box at the top of the page.

2. Click "See more results," and click "Apps" in the left hand sidebar.

3. Click "Blinkies by Marilyn," then click "Go to app."

4. Click "Install" to allow Blinkies by Marilyn to access your profile. The application will install, and you will be redirected to the application page.

5. Click a Blinkie Type. For example, click "Smilies."

6. Type the names of friends who you want to receive the Blinkies in the "Find Friends" search box, then type "Send Blinkies from Marilyn Request."

Tips & Warnings

• To access Blinkies from Marilyn once you have installed it, click "Blinkies from Marilyn" in the left hand sidebar of your profile page.
