How to Make a Plastic Princess Wand
Make princess wands by recycling assorted plastic materials, such as clean plastic milk cartons. Create princess wands as an activity for a princess-themed birthday party or kids' Halloween party, or use them as an art project for home or school. Such crafts are also a way to teach children about the importance of recycling and inspire them to make their own crafts out of recycled materials. If you find you are adept at creating plastic princess wands, try selling them at craft fairs and flea markets.

1
Clean out a plastic milk carton and use scissors to cut a large star out of it. The design of the star is up to you -- go for the traditional five-point star or cut out a star that alternates between large and small points. The size of the star is also up to you -- try a star that is about 4 inches in diameter.
-
2
Place the star over newspaper or other scrap paper and paint one side of the star gold and the other side silver. Allow the paint to dry for about 20 to 30 minutes.

3
Glue or staple the star to a white plastic straw. If using glue, allow the star to dry for about 15 minutes. Go over both sides of the star with gold and silver glitter glue -- use gold on the silver side and silver on the gold side if desired. Also use the glitter glue to attach gold and silver sequins in an alternating pattern around the edges of the star.

Curl pieces of gold and silver wrapping ribbon with scissors and tie them where the star meets the straw to complete the project.
