1
Select "Start/Pause" and open the LG washer to look for objects that fell into the tub from pockets if there is a rattling sound. Move the load around more evenly in the tub if there is vibrating and check the feet to see if adjustments are necessary so that all legs are in secure contact with the floor.
-
2
Unclog drains throughout the home if the washer is leaking. Use a wrench to tighten the hose connections. Reduce the amount of detergent used and fill the dispenser with HE (high efficiency) detergent only, which is designed specifically for use with the LG washer.
-
-
3
Keep fabric colors separate from whites when sorting laundry and pour detergent products into the dispensers, not the tub, if items are staining during the wash cycle.
-
4
Check the hot and cold water hoses to verify that they are properly connected if clothes are wrinkling excessively. Reduce overall load sizes so that water and steam can move easily throughout the tub.
-
5
Put more items in the washer if the display shows "UE" and the load size is small. Reduce the load size if very large and move items around in the tub to help rebalance the tub.
-
6
Wait 30 minutes to let the washing machine cool if the display shows "LE" and then restart the wash cycle.
-
7
Restart the cycle by pressing "Start/Pause" if "PF" shows on the display, indicating that power was interrupted during the cycle.
-
8
Clean out the drain hose if "OE" appears on the display and then set a container below the drain pump filter in the front of the washing machine. Open the filter door, unclip the drain hose and let the hose drain in to the container. Remove the pump filter, discard any debris and rinse with water. Replace the filter and clip the drain hose back into place.
-
9
Clean the water hoses and make sure the hot and cold water taps are fully open if "IE" shows on the display. Stop using other appliances that utilize water when the washer is in use to increase the overall water pressure during the wash cycle.
-
10
Shut the washer door if "dE" appears on the display and press "Start/Pause."
-
11
Use HE detergent at all times in the washer if it begins to smell like mildew and take items out of the washer promptly when wet. Run the "Tub Clean" cycle on a regular basis and wipe down the door seal to remove excess moisture and debris.
-
12
Close the water faucets, disconnect power to the washer and contact LG for service if the display shows "tE," "FE" or "PE."
-
13
Replace or reset the fuse or circuit breaker if the washer is not working. Plug the washing machine power cord into a grounded, 3-prong outlet with 120-VAC, 60Hz power.
