Read the directions for applying Retin-A that were provided to you by your doctor. The application of Retin-A will depend on the skin condition you are being treated for. The skin condition will not improve faster if the patient uses more than is recommended by her doctor.

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Clean and dry the skin that will be treated with Retin-A and be sure your face is completely dry before applying the cream. Next, squeeze the Retin-A tube to release a small amount of cream onto your finger.

Apply a thin layer of the Retin-A to the skin area that is being treated. Once the Retin-A is on the skin, do not wash your face for an hour or more. Avoid the use of other creams for up to one hour after applying Retin-A.

Replace the cap on the Retin-A cream and close tightly. Store the cream in a cool, dry location away from moisture. Wash your hands after using Retin-A.

Tips & Warnings
Follow directions given by your doctor to treat your specific skin condition with Retin-A.
Do not use more Retin A than is prescribed per dose. Do not double up on a missed dose. Wait until the next scheduled application and apply the recommended amount.
Do not get Retin-A in your mouth, nose, eyes or on your lips. If this happens, wash the area with water.
When using Retin-A on the skin, stay out of direct and artificial sunlight.
