How to Make a Balloon Bird
A common activity for a clown or children's entertainer is making balloon animals. While these balloon designs look quite complicated, some are easy to do, such as the balloon bird. With a single balloon you can make a balloon bird in about five minutes.
Instructions

-
1
Inflate the balloon but leave 2 inches of balloon uninflated.
-
2
Twist the balloon counterclockwise at least three times to make a 2-inch bubble beside the uninflated end of the balloon. This will form the bird's beak.
-
-
3
Make a 3-inch bubble under the 2-inch bubble. This will form the bird's head.
-
4
Wrap the uninflated piece of balloon around the twist you made in Step 3 five or six times to bring the head and beak together and keep them in place.
-
5
Squeeze the entire length of the balloon with your hands. This will make it softer so you can perform the next steps successfully.
-
6
Create a 10-inch bubble from the end opposite the head. Bring this section up to the neck and wrap it around, creating a loop in the remainder of the balloon.
-
7
Hold the 10-inch balloon piece against the two sides of the loop.
-
8
Twist these three balloon parts together at a point midway along the 10-inch piece of balloon you measured in Step 6.
-
9
Push the remaining 5-inch length of balloon behind the bird. This is the bird's tail.
-
10
Push the bird body down and through the circle so that it is sitting inside the oval.
-
11
Draw the bird's mouth and eyes on the head.
