How to Troubleshoot CATIA
Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA) is a commercial software suite used to create 3D imagery on computers for engineering. If you are having problems with your CATIA software, there are several things that you can do to get it working properly again. You don't have to be a computer genius to troubleshoot your CATIA software. You can do it yourself with little hassle and minimal knowledge of the system.

Install a network card on your computer. If the computer does not have a network card installed, the CATIA V5 software will not work.

Make sure the network card is working properly. Go to your desktop and then right-click on the "My Computer" icon. Click the "Properties" icon and then click "Hardware."

Click on the "Device Manager" icon, then click on the "Network Adapters' icon. Right-click on your network card, then click "Properties." Look for "the device is functioning properly" text.

Download the "i4target.exe" software. Save the application to the "C:\" directory from the download destination prompt. Click the "Start" button, then click the "Run" box.

Type "cmd" into the "Run" box and press the "Enter" button. Use the arrow keys to go down to the "c:\" prompt and type "i4target --z" into the prompt.

Press the "Enter" button. This will list the targets on the screen.

Choose your target from the list and press the "Enter" button. Exit out of the command prompt.
