How to Get a Shinx in "Pokémon Pearl"
Shinx is an Electric-type Pokemon that has very low defensive statistics but makes up for it with higher than average attack damage. In "Pokemon Pearl," Shinx is accessible early in the game on Route 203. On Route 203, it has a 25% encounter rate during any time of the day, meaning it shouldn't take long to run into one. Rock Pokemon or Pokemon with ground attacks will be the most effective against Shinx.

Walk, bike or fly to Jubilife City. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see your current location in relation to Jubilife City.

Go to the east (right) side of the city and enter Route 203 as indicated by the sign on the road.

Walk through any of the patches of grass along the route until you encounter Shinx. Use ground-based attacks until Shinx' health bar is in the red. Throw a standard Pokeball to catch it.
