How to Get to Ever Grande City in "Pokemon: Ruby"

A huge waterfall separates you from Ever Grande City.

Found near the end of "Pokemon Ruby," Ever Grande City is the greatest testing ground for Pokemon trainers in this region. After earning all eight Pokemon Badges, players inevitably make their way to the edge of Ever Grande City with the hopes of defeating the Elite Four to become the new Champion. One of your trusty Water-type Pokemon will play a large role in getting you to Ever Grande City.

Instructions

1. Surf to the far right edge of Route 138 on the back of a Pokemon. Route 138 ends with a massive waterfall separating you and Ever Grande City.

2. Face the cascading water and have a Pokemon use the move Waterfall to climb the torrent. Half of Ever Grande City is now accessible and you can heal your Pokemon team at the Pokecenter.

3. Enter the cavernous Victory Road and emerge on the other side to challenge the Elite Four at the Pokemon League on the north end of Ever Grande City. Bring along Pokemon that know the moves Surf, Waterfall, Strength, and Rock Smash to safely navigate the cave.

Tips & Warnings

• Players can find a wide variety of Water-type Pokemon by fishing in Ever Grande City, such as Wingull, Pelipper, Tentacool and Luvdisc.

• Keep a team of strong Pokemon by your side as you travel through Victory Road to the northern half of Ever Grande City, as there are many talented Pokemon trainers and savage wild Pokemon along the way.
