How to Get the Kite Down on Spyro

In "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly," all of the baby dragonflies in the Dragon Realms have been captured by the evil sorcerer, Ripto. When Ripto's magic backfires, though, the dragonflies are scattered randomly throughout the realms. The young dragons in the Dragonfly Dojo area have found one of the missing insects, but before they give it to you, you must help them free their stuck kites. To do that, you need to learn the Ice Breath ability.

Instructions

    • 1

Talk to the drowsy bear in the Dragon Realms home world when you have collected 25 dragonflies. He activates the magic portal to Cloud 9. Jump into the portal to go there.

    • 2

Run forward when you enter Cloud 9 and pick up the green Ice Rune in front of you. Press "Start" and select "Exit" to leave Cloud 9 and go back to the Dragon Realms.

    • 3

Go up to the crystal dragon statue in the nearby garden. The crystal dragon takes the Ice Rune and gives you Ice Breath.

    • 4

Climb up the stairs leading to the red pagoda. Jump on the rock at the end of the path to go to Dragonfly Dojo.

    • 5

Progress through Dragonfly Dojo until you see a baby dragon in front of a tree. He asks you to retrieve his kite for him. To do so, freeze the dragon with your Ice Breath.

    • 6

Hop onto the frozen dragon and jump into the tree to free the kite. When you do, the dragon unfreezes and takes back the kite.

    • 7

Proceed to the next baby dragon who waits for your help on a small rocky platform. As before, freeze the dragon to get the kite down from the rock.

    • 8

Go past the tank mini-game room to find the final dragon. Retrieve his kite and he gives you the dragonfly, Moony, as a reward.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not want to wait until you get Ice Breath to get the kites down, it is possible, though difficult, to reach them another way. Jump on the ledge closest to the kite. Run and jump off the ledge and glide to the kite. As you get close to the kite, hover to gain a height boost. If executed perfectly, you knock the kite down.
