Instructions

    • 1

Ask your friend her favorite colors, shapes and designs. Remember this information as you collect your plastic beads and jewels. Use colors, shapes and designs that appeal to your friend to make the bracelet extra special. Purchase all wires, beads, toggle clasps, crimp tubes and crimping tools at your local jewelry or home supply store.

    • 2

Tape one 1/2-inch end of the wire to a flat work surface. Taping the end prevent beads from sliding off. Hold the other end of the wire up at a 45-degree angle.

    • 3

Slide plastic beads and jewels onto the wire as you see fit. Alternate colors and shapes or make the entire bracelet consistent in one shade or design. Add beads and jewels until only 1/2 inch of wire is exposed on the untaped end.

    • 4

Slide one crimp tube onto the untaped end of the wire. The crimp tube will be used to secure the wire once the toggles are in place.

    • 5

Slide one end of the toggle clasp to the untaped end. Feed the loose end of the wire down into the crimp tube with the pliers. Pull the end snug so the beads are taut and the toggle is secure.

    • 6

Place your pliers flush with the bottom of the crimp tube. Snip off residual wire hanging out from the bottom.

    • 7

Repeat steps four through six for the opposite end of the toggle clasp. Your cable friendship bracelet is now ready for wearing.
