How to Get Skorupi in "Platinum"

In the "Pokemon" games, Skorupi is a scorpion-like creature that secretes poison from its pointed tail. In battle, Skorupi excels at physical defense. However, it can also play the role of attacker, using moves such as Poison Sting and Bite to damage foes. In addition, as a Poison- and Bug-type Pokemon, Skorupi is resistant to Fighting-, Poison-, Bug- and Grass-type attacks. In "Pokemon Platinum," this creature makes its home in the Great Marsh.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Pastoria City in southern Sinnoh. You can either fly or walk there by traveling east on Route 212 or west on Route 213.

    • 2

Enter the Great Marsh building in the north section of Pastoria City.

    • 3

Ascend the stairs to the second floor.

    • 4

Pay 100 PokeDollars to look through the binoculars near the window. This will reveal which rare species of Pokemon inhabit the Great Marsh. The rare species change daily, so repeat this step until you spy a Skorupi in the binoculars.

    • 5

Enter the Great Marsh by paying the 500 PokeDollar fee to the attendant on the first floor. You will receive 30 Safari Balls and temporary access to the preserve.

    • 6

Travel to the section of the preserve you saw Skorupi inhabiting. The train in the middle of the Great Marsh will provide you access to the deeper areas of the preserve.

    • 7

Walk around the grass until you encounter a wild Skorupi. It will be between levels 20 and 26.

    • 8

Throw mud to make the wild Skorupi easier to capture. Alternatively, throw bait to make the Skorupi less likely to flee.

    • 9

Throw a Safari Ball to capture the wild Skorupi.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you run out of Safari Balls or exceed 500 steps, the attendant will call you back to the main building. You must pay 500 more PokeDollars to reenter.
