How to Edit a Drop Down Box in Expression

The Web editing program Microsoft Expression is used to create and edit pages meant for display in a Web browser. One of the main appeals of using Expression over a word processing application is the option for you to edit in both "Code" and "Design" mode. The code option allows for page editing using only the Web language in which your page is coded, while the design option permits you to make changes based on the visual presentation of the page. The design option is particularly useful if you want to make changes to an existing element, such as a drop-down box that you need to edit.

Tips & Warnings

  • The drop-down box won't expand when you are viewing it in "Design" mode in Expression Web. To view the edited drop-down box you must first save the page, click "File" at the top of the window, and then click "Preview in Browser" to see your functioning page in your Web browser.
