Using Fresh Flowers
-
1
Cut a 12-inch length of wire.
-
2
Bend the wire into a circle and twist the ends together to form a ring. Use the pliers to form loops on both ends of the wire.
-
-
3
Cut the flowers from their stems, leaving at least 1/2 inch of stem below the blossom. Smaller flowers may be left in bunches.
-
4
Place the first flower on one end of the wire (next to the loop) and wrap floral tape around the stem to secure it to the wire. Continue adding flowers to the wire until you reach the other end. For a multitextured look, alternate different sizes of flowers or add greenery.
-
5
Cut a ribbon in the desired length. Use a shorter ribbon to form a small bow, or use a longer ribbon to create a large bow and have ribbons trailing from the headpiece.
-
6
Pull the ribbon through both loops, leaving even lengths on both sides, and tie a bow. Add multiple ribbons in longer lengths to create a cascade effect.
