How to Flag Ads on Craigslist in Seconds

Craigslist relies on users of the website to flag inappropriate ads. Ads are considered inappropriate if they are miscategorized, violate Craigslist terms of use, or inundate the site with multiple spam posts. One flag won't do anything by itself, but if an ad accumulates several negative flags from different users, it can be automatically removed. Flagging an ad takes mere seconds when you use the flagging links at the top of each ad.

Instructions

    • 1

      Go to Craigslist.org.

    • 2

Browse through the ads until you find one you want to flag.

    • 3

Click one of the negative flag lists, located at the top right of the page. Click "Miscategorized," "Prohibited" or "Spam/Overpost." Alternatively, if you find a good, memorable ad, you can click "Best of Craigslist" to give it a positive flag.
