Magnetic clasps are available in a variety of colors and sizes.

Beaded bracelets are a classic fashion item. However, putting one on yourself is not very easy. Using one hand and struggling to get the clasp together is a well known problem for many people. Magnetic clasps make adding a bracelet to your outfit easy. After creating your own beaded masterpiece, simply lay the bracelet across the top of your wrist and bring one end of the clasp near the other end. Instructions

    • 1

Measure around your wrist to determine the length of the bracelet needed. Cut the cord or string with an additional 8 inches. This will ensure you have enough to attach the magnetic clasp.

    • 2

Slide one end of the string or cord into one piece of the clasp. Tie a knot firmly. Tie a second knot right next to the first. Cut away any excess string or cord.

    • 3

String on desired beads. Measure as you work and stop adding beads when you reach your desired length. Tie one firm knot against your last bead.

    • 4

String on the other half of the magnetic clasp. Tie a tight knot to secure the clasp next to the last bead. Tie a second knot directly on top of the first. Cut away any excess stringing material.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add a drop of super glue or clear nail polish to secure each knot.
