1
Check to make sure the gas valve is turned on. The gas valve is usually located near the dryer. If you are not sure if the main gas valve is turned on, contact your gas company. Make sure the electrical plug is firmly plugged into the wall outlet.
-
2
Check the dryer door. If the indicator lights on the dyer are illuminated, the dryer door may not be shutting all the way. The dryer will not start until the door is sealed. Open the door and check for clothes or lint that may be blocking the door from closing securely.

3
Clean the lint filter. If the display shows "E:01," you may need to clean the lint filter. Open the dryer door and remove the lint filter. Clear the lint from the filter using your hand, then reinsert the filter.
-
4
Check the exhaust air duct for blockage. Locate the air duct vent outside and remove any lint or other debris that may be present. If the air duct looks clear, you may need to move the dryer and inspect the air duct connection on the back of the dryer.
-
5
Clean the moisture sensor with a clean rag. If your clothes are not getting dry, or drying time is taking much longer than normal, the moisture sensor may be dirty. Open the dryer door and wipe the sensor with a clean rag.
