Dirt Stains

1
Let the mud dry. It is much easier to remove mud when it can be flicked off than if you try to remove it while damp. It spreads and makes a greater mess, so set your butter boots aside overnight and allow them to dry.
-
2
Take the cleaning brush and gently flick the mud off the surface of your butter boots. It should come off quite easily and leave little to no discoloration.

Check to see the stain has come out. If not, try one of a few household items to release the discoloration. Use a suede cleaner such as the spray-on kind that can be bought at any sundry goods store. Blot with a bit of water and blot again with a paper towel to release the stain or work in a tiny bit of vinegar and see if that doesn't release the stain.
Drink Stains

4
Blot a drink stain as soon as it occurs. The longer you wait, the worse the discoloration will be.
-
5
Use a commercial suede cleaner to release the stain. If this doesn't work, go to Step 3.
-
6
Release red wine stains by using hydrogen peroxide or a commercial peroxide cleaner. Rinse by repeated blotting with a wet paper towel again and again until the stain is absorbed. If you still can't release the stain, take it to a professional dry cleaner.
