Instructions to Make a Horseshoe Salt & Pepper Holder
Your salt and pepper shakers involve just one of the accessory decisions you have before you when decorating your kitchen. These shakers may either serve a primarily functional role and appear with a basic design, or you may apply special touches to blend them in with your overarching theme.
Things You'll Need
- 3 horseshoes
- 2 metal rings
- Salt shaker
- Pepper shaker
- Welding torch
- Black paint

1
Place one of the horseshoes on a horizontal work surface. Weld another horsehoe upright, near the closed end of the horseshoe. Weld the other close to the open end.
-
2
Weld the metal rings onto the horseshoe attached to the open end of the horizontal horseshoe, with the rings facing away from the rest of the project and about an inch up from the bottom.

3
Wait until the entire assembly has cooled and dried, then paint the whole set black. Give the paint 24 to 48 hours to dry and cure, then slide a salt and pepper shaker into those holes, resting on the opening pieces of the bottom horseshoe.
