How Do I Delete Borrowed Books on a Nook?

One of the Nook's big advantages is you can check out library ebooks.

Barnes & Nobles' ebook reader, the Nook, has one big advantage over the Kindle: you can use it to read borrowed ebooks from the library. The Nook works with Adobe Digital Editions, a free e-reader software that lets you organize your titles. While checking out ebooks is simple, Digital Editions will not automatically remove the expired or read titles from your Nook. You need to manually remove them from the device and your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug your Nook into your computer.

    • 2

      Open Adobe Digital Editions.

    • 3

Click on the "Nook" link in the left-hand column to show the books stored on your Nook.

    • 4

      Locate the borrowed book.

    • 5

Click on the arrow next to the borrowed book to open a drop-down menu.

    • 6

      Select "Return Borrowed Item."

    • 7

Click the "All Items" link in the left-hand column in Adobe Digital Editions.

    • 8

      Locate the borrowed book.

    • 9

Repeat Steps 5-6. Your borrowed books will no longer appear on your Nook.
