How to Get to Windworks in Pearl

In "Pokemon Pearl," the Valley Windworks is a power plant in western Sinnoh. The area contains various species of wild Pokemon and useful items that may aid you in your adventures. When you first arrive at the Valley Windworks, Team Galactic, the game's antagonistic group, will have a hold on the area. You must defeat the Team Galactic members to progress through the game.

      Collect your first Gym Badge by defeating Roark, the Rock-type Gym Leader of Oreburgh City.

      Travel to Floaroma City. The city is northwest from Oreburgh City.

      Heal your Pokemon at the Floaroma Pokemon Center if necessary.

      Walk east onto Route 205. Talk to the girl near the beginning of the route. She will tell you that Team Galactic is holding her father hostage at the Valley Windworks.

      Continue walking east until you arrive at the Valley Windworks.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you arrive at the Valley Windworks, a Team Galactic Grunt will be guarding the front door of the main building. After you defeat him, he will run inside and barricade the door. To open the door, you'll have to travel to Floaroma Meadow and retrieve a key from two other Team Galactic members.

  • The tall grass at the Valley Windworks is always home to wild Buizel, Shellos, Pachirisu and Bidoof. Mareep will appear if you use the Poke Radar in this area, while Elekid will appear if you insert "Pokemon FireRed" into the Nintendo DS's GBA slot. On occasion, Electrike will swarm the field. In addition, every Friday, Drifloon, a rare Ghost- and Flying-type Pokemon, lands in the area. The water in the area contains Pokemon such as Lumineon, Gyarados and Shellder. The honey tree is also inhabited by many species, including, Wurmple, Aipom and Combee.
