Instructions

    • 1

Lay the origami paper color side down, with the longest edge horizontal. Fold a triangle along the shortest edges by bringing the corners together; run your thumb firmly along the fold and unfold.

    • 2

Fold the paper in half along the shortest edges; run your thumb firmly along the fold and unfold. Fold the two longest edges down to the crease running along the center of the paper, and run your thumb firmly along the folds.

    • 3

Push open one side of the top half of the open end along the diagonal crease line. Fold the paper backwards along this line to create half a triangle. Repeat on the other side to complete the triangle. Repeat the entire step on the bottom half of the open end.

    • 4

Fold the bottom flap of both triangles up towards the triangle peaks about 1/8 inch from the bottom edge; press your thumb firmly along the fold and unfold. Lift the top layer of the bottom flap of both triangles and fold over to the left to create two hoods. Press the hoods down into two small triangles. Repeat on bottom half.

    • 5

Fold the two tiny squares next to the triangles created by the flattened hoods, toward the outside edge of the paper to make two triangles. Fold the very points of the two triangles down towards the center of the paper. Repeat on bottom half.

    • 6

Flip the paper, and fold both the bottom and top triangles down toward the center of the paper to reveal the hearts. Flip the paper, and fold the top curve of the left heart over diagonally, and repeat on the right side.

    • 7

Flip the paper so the hearts are face down on the table and both hearts inwards toward one another simultaneously. Flip the paper, and fold the excess triangular fold at the bottom of the hearts over to hide it.
