Things You'll Need
- Clean dishcloth
- Liquid dish soap
- Dishtowel
- Food-grade mineral oil
- Paper towel

Saturate a clean dishcloth with clean, warm water. Squeeze a drop of ordinary liquid dish soap onto the wet dishcloth.

Wipe the bamboo cutting board with the soapy dishcloth, cleaning off all food fragments. Thoroughly clean both sides of the board with the dishcloth.

Rinse the cutting board promptly under warm flowing water. Do not expose the bamboo to prolonged moisture.

Wipe the cutting board dry immediately with a dishtowel.

Coat the cutting board with food-grade mineral oil monthly to prevent the bamboo from drying out. Moisten a paper towel with the mineral oil and the rub the oil liberally over the cutting board.

Store the bamboo cutting board in a cool area with low humidity.

Tips & Warnings
Cleaning products containing ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons, harsh detergents or vinyl solvents will damage bamboo cutting boards. Abrasive cleaning products and automatic dishwashers may also damage bamboo cutting boards and should be avoided.
