How to Get a Smooth Diamond on "TPPC"

"TPPC" is a free online game for the PC that is based on the "Pokemon" franchise by Nintendo. After you register for the game, you can catch and battle Pokemon the same way it is done in the Nintendo Pokemon games. All the maps and Pokemon were taken from the Gameboy Advance Pokemon games, but instead of exploring them with a character, you just click on a location to travel there. Catching Pokemon is also automated and there is no chance of failure. To get a smooth diamond, you have to catch 10 random Pokemon carrying rough diamonds, then have them converted into a smooth diamond.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the "TPPC" website (see Resources) and log into your account.

    • 2

Click on one of the links underneath the "Map Quick Jump" section on the right of the page. A map of the area will be shown in the middle of the page.

    • 3

Click anywhere on the map and then click "Catch It" when you receive a message that you found a Pokemon. You will receive a message that the Pokemon has been added to your box. You'll also randomly get a message saying the Pokemon has an item attached to it. Click "My Roster" underneath "Trainer Information" on the left side of the screen. A list of all the Pokemon you have caught will appear on the right side of the screen. Their level and the item that they are holding will display under their names.

    • 4

Capture Pokemon until you acquire 10 of the "Rough Diamond" items that Pokemon randomly hold. Click the "Research Lab" link underneath the "Challenges" section on the left of the page.

    • 5

Click "Convert!" underneath "Rough Diamonds." You will receive a message stating "The researcher's experiment was a success! A Smooth Diamond has been added to your box!" if the process worked. If it fails, you will need to get 10 more rough diamonds and try again.

Tips & Warnings

  • Previously, a "Fire" type starter Pokemon was required to convert the rough diamonds into a smooth diamond, but that is no longer the case.
