Buying earrings for your girlfriend can be nerve-racking. 3. Consult your girlfriend's close friend. She would be familiar with your girlfriend's taste in earrings, and she can be trusted not to spill the beans about your upcoming gift. Visit the jewelry store with the friend and seek her advice before you make your purchase.

4. Invite your girlfriend to pick out earrings with you, if you do not mind removing the secrecy and surprise of your gift. This ensures that she gets the ideal earrings she wants, while the precious jewelry is still a gift from you.

5. Retain the receipt after you have purchased your gift, in case your girlfriend decides that she does not like the earrings.

6. Present the gift to your girlfriend. Let her know right away that she can always return the earrings if she does not like that particular style. Acknowledge that you may not have gotten just what she wanted. Your girlfriend may not want to hurt your feelings, and she appreciates your gift. Nevertheless, you want her to wear earrings she loves. Offering to return or exchange the earrings alleviates the stress for both you and your girlfriend.
