How to Make Breadcrumbs From English Muffins
There's nothing quite as disappointing as stale English muffins. What was once a soft, doughy, treat is now nothing more than a hardened, tasteless puck. But don't toss old English muffins in the trash once they're past their prime. Turn them into breadcrumbs and reuse them for coating chicken, fish, vegetables, or as a topping for casseroles and other baked dishes. The light, airy muffins are particularly well-suited for re-purposing as breadcrumbs. Two to three English muffins should make about one cup of crumbs. Make extra breadcrumbs and store them in the freezer in zip-top plastic bags for later use. Does this Spark an idea?
