Instructions

    • 1

Sand down the area on the wall where the tub surround will be installed with medium-grade sandpaper. Move the sandpaper over the surface in a circular motion and smooth out the entire area.

    • 2

Wipe the area clean with a rag. Remove all dirt and debris from the area as well as any grit and dust left over from the sandpaper. Use a clean rag to wipe off the back of the tub surround where the glue will be applied.

    • 3

Slide a tube of tub surround glue into a caulk gun. Press it firmly into place and cut the nozzle at the end to a 45 degree angle, 1/8-inch down the nozzle. Run a thin 1/4-inch continuous bead of adhesive along the back of the tub surround according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 4

Press the tub surround against the wall at the desired location and then pull the panel back away. Wait three to five minutes until the adhesive creates a tacky surface and then press the tub surround back firmly into place. Let it sit in place for 20 to 30 minutes and run your hands over the entire surface so it can adhere to the wall.

Caulk around the edges of the surround with the same adhesive and install all of the remaining panels in the same manner.
