How to Remove the Neck on a Traditional Kohler Kitchen Sink

The neck of a kitchen sink faucet is also known as the spout. Kohler Co. offers a diverse selection of products and brands. In addition to other kitchen and bathroom products, Kohler offers a traditional kitchen sink faucet, under the company's Finial faucet line. Instructions

    • 1

      Turn both the hot and cold water shut-off valves underneath the sink all the way to the right. This shuts off water to the faucet.

      Open the faucet's hot and cold water handles to drain out any water still in the faucet neck or drain lines.

      Detach the thin vertical hose assembly directly underneath the neck, beneath the sink, from the quick-connect tee, which looks like an upside-down, capital "T."

      Detach the faucet's side sprayer hose from the bottom of the neck, underneath the sink.

      Locate and remove the two screws from the threaded ring on the underside of the faucet, directly underneath the neck. Use a screwdriver.

      Slide the threaded ring, along with the washer behind it, down and off the neck's bottom shank.

    • 7

      Lift the neck up and out of the faucet's mounting surface on top of the sink.
