How to Remove Margins When Printing

Printer margins allow documents and photos to be printed without the risk of their edges being clipped. Using the borderless printing option, you can remove the margins on a printout and keep images pressed to the edge of the paper. Not every printer features borderless printing, so before you can remove the margins, check to see if your printer is compatible with your software's borderless options.

Instructions

1. Update your printer drivers. Visit the manufacturer's website to find the most up-to-date drivers for your device. The new drivers will install any updates available for your printer, which may include borderless capabilities.

2. Open the file or photo you want to print. Load the print options menu.

3. Click on "Properties."

4. Select the page options for your printer properties. Look for the drop-down menu or check box labeled "Borderless Printing." Select this option to activate the setting.

5. Match the paper size to the borderless printing size for the document. Press "Print" to print the document without margins.
