How to Make Bland Applesauce Tastier
Applesauce is at its simplest form an apple puree. Depending on preference, you can enjoy chunkier applesauce or a smooth puree. Many types of apples can be used in an applesauce recipe, allowing for different flavors to come out. Flavorings are then added to applesauce based on the cook's desires. To improve a bland applesauce, try a few different tricks to add flavor with minimal effort on your part. You may use applesauce as a side dish but it is also excellent over a pork roast, on potato pancakes or as a dessert. Applesauce is also a healthy substitute for butter or oil in many recipes.
