How to Buy a House in Chynandal in "Oblivion"
In the dangerous and unpredictable world of "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," you need a place to call home. Many of Cyrodiil's major cities feature an uninhabited house for sale. In Cheydinhal, for example, you must speak to the prominent Count Andel Indarys if you want to purchase a home. The Cheydinhal house is very expensive, but worth the price if you want a private place to keep your belongings and escape from the dangers of the world outside.

Enter the city of Cheydinhal, located in the Nibenay Basin. Follow the street northwest until you see the entrance to a castle. Go inside.

2
Talk to Count Andel Indarys. During the day, you find the Count sitting on his throne in the room north of where you entered. If it is night, the Count is sleeping and the door to his chambers is locked. You must wait until morning to talk to him.

Select the option to buy a house. If the Count's disposition towards you is below 60, he refuses to talk to you about this.
-
4
Raise the Count's disposition by bribing him with gold. It is also possible to raise his disposition with jokes and conversation. When his disposition is at least 60, he tells you about the house for sale in Cheydinhal.

5
Buy the house for 15,000 gold to get a key to it. Mark "Buying a House in Cheydinhal" as your main and active quest. An arrow appears on the compass.
