Instructions

  1. Shower Curtain

    • 1

Open each ring by pushing the end of the ring with the small plastic post out of the grooved end of the ring. The grooved end will be open on one side and closed on the other, so you need to push the post to the open side to open the ring.

    • 2

Push the post end of each ring through one of the holes in the top of the curtain. Each package of shower curtain rings comes with enough rings for one curtain, and sometimes with one or two extra rings in case one breaks. Store away the extra rings.

    • 3

Hang each ring on the curtain rod working from one side of the curtain to the other. The rings will open enough to allow the rod into the center by prying them with your hands or pushing the opening of the ring against the rod.

    • 4

Snap all the rings closed by pushing the post end into the open side of the grooved end to finish hanging the curtain.

    Window Curtain

    • 5

Clip one ring along the top edge of the curtain 1/2 inch in from each corner. Window curtain rings have a metal ring to slide on the rod and a small metal clip that clips onto the curtain. To clip the ring onto the curtain, pinch open the clip with your fingers.

    • 6

Clip a ring every 3 inches between the corner rings. You can clip the rings further apart, but the top edge of the curtain will sag more when the curtain is open. You can also clip closer together for the top edge to sag less. Start at 3 inches and adjust the distance between the clips to your liking after you hang the curtain.

    • 7

Remove the right end of the curtain rod from its holder. Slide the curtain rings on the rod from left to right to finish hanging the curtain.
