How to Know if a Boy Is Attracted to You

It isn't always written in plain English whether or not someone is attracted to you. You might be thinking or guessing that a boy likes you but you just aren't sure. A boy's reaction to you is highly dependent on his own personality. A shy boy might be more subtle in his attraction toward you when compared to a confident boy. But either way, there are sure-fire ways to tell if a boy is attracted to you. Just watch for the signs.

1. Pay close attention to the boy in question. Monitor his reactions, mannerisms and gestures. This way you'll know if he acts differently when around you. Observe normal daily body language.

2. Notice eye contact. Most boys, even the confident ones, will be shy about maintaining eye contact. If the boy looks away when you look in his direction, that is a clear indicator that he is attracted to you. If a boy glances in your direction constantly that is also a hint of attraction. Try giving him a warm smile if you catch him staring at you. If he seems relieved or pleased, he most likely is attracted to you.

3. Watch the way the boy smiles at you. If the smile is slightly uncertain, he is just shy or insecure because he finds you attractive. A warm smile that feels and looks genuine is also a good indicator of attraction. If the smile reaches his eyes when he is talking to you, you can be sure that he is crushing on you.

4. Examine his behavior around you. Delicate touches to your arm or back can be clear indicators of attraction. If he finds ways to touch you or be close to you, these can all serve as hints to attraction. If he is constantly finding ways to be around you (sitting with you at lunch, offering you a ride home from work, brushing a strand of hair off your face), then rest assured the boy is smitten.

5. Notice if he mirrors your body language. Oftentimes, when someone is attracted to you, they unconsciously copy your body language. Try it out; subtlety touch your ear and watch to see if he copies the gesture. You could also take a sip of your drink. If he reaches for a sip a little bit after you, it might be a signal of mirroring.

6. Look back at your research. You observed his reactions and mannerisms in the beginning. Now notice if he acts differently around you. If he is trying hard to impress you or he acts a bit nervous, you'll know that there is definitely an attraction.

7. Pay attention to your gut instinct.
