How to Make the Bass Louder on the Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra
The 200-watt Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra speaker system includes two speakers and a 6-1/2-inch woofer. It is designed primarily for use with televisions, stereos and gaming systems, but can also be used with computer systems or as monitor speakers for a home recording studio. Included with the package is a desktop controller by which the overall volume, bass volume and treble volume can be adjusted independently.

Turn on the television or other device to which the Expressionist Ultra speakers are connected. Consult the speakers' documentation for information on hooking them up properly.

Turn the speakers' volume all the way down. The volume control is found on the speakers' desktop controller extension.

Turn on the Expressionist Ultra speakers by pressing the "On" button in the center of the speakers' desktop controller. Turn the volume up to a comfortable level using the desktop controller's volume knob.

Press the "Bass" button on the top of the desktop controller.

Adjust the bass volume by turning the volume knob on the desktop controller. Turning it clockwise will boost the bass; turning it counterclockwise will reduce it. Press the "Bass" button again to return the volume control to overall volume control.
