How to Get a Helicopter on Cryptids in "Poptropica"
On Cryptids Island in the online game "Poptropica" the recluse billionaire Harold Mews wants proof of the existence of cryptids, which are creatures many people claim exist but that scientists haven't found. He will pay a million-dollar reward for this proof. Many fortune hunters are competing for the prize. To win it, you will need to travel the world and you will need a helicopter to go to certain remote locations. The only helicopter available locally is Harold Mews' Mews Corp. helicopter. To get it, you must complete several tasks on the island to get his attention.

Speak with certain characters to receive hints about tasks that you should perform. For example, help a hang glider pilot take off from the cliffs near the lighthouse to gain access to the lighthouse roof and speak with a balloonist that needs help cutting her balloon free. In addition, you will learn that the gardener in front of the Mews' Estate is thirsty and that all of the kites in the Kitty's Kites store are free to try, but you will need a nylon rope if you want to fly the surf kite.

Go to the tree in front of Mews' Estate. Jump up on the branch that has money in the leaves above it to collect a five-dollar bill in your "Items" bag.

Enter the General Store to buy something for the gardener to drink. Although everything is expensive, Sports Nectar sports drinks are available for only five dollars. Open your Items bag, click "Use" on the Five Dollar Bill card and select "Fine. I'll take a sports drink."

Return to the gardener and click "Use" on the Sports Drink card in your Items bag to give the gardener the drink. The thankful gardener will take a break and ask you to hold his gardening shears while he's gone. A Gardening Shears card will move to your Items bag.

Return to the left side of the island to help cut the balloon free of the lighthouse. Jump up on the lighthouse roof and click "Use" on the Gardening Shears card to cut the nylon rope leading to the balloon. The remaining nylon rope will automatically go into your Items bag.

Go to the Kitty's Kites store and click "Use" on the Nylon Rope card. When the store manager sees that you have nylon rope, you will receive the Kitesurfer X250 kite to try out.

Return to the lighthouse and cliffs and use the Kitesurfer X250 card to take the kite out on the ocean waves. An automatic surfing sequence will begin. The fortune hunter Gretchen Grimlock will attack, leave you stranded in the water, and then Harold Mews will rescue you in the Mews Corp. helicopter.

Wait for the screen to update. Your character will appear in a bed at the Mews Estate and Harold will begin speaking. When he leaves, click the glass of water on the night stand to get your character out of the bed.

Go right and click the door to exit the room. Go downstairs and to the right to enter the Cryptids Museum.

Explore the museum while you wait for Harold to show up. Agree to his proposal that you bring back the proof he wants. He will then give you his Mews Corp. helicopter to use in this quest.
