How to Get Camos Fast in "MW2" on the PS3

Earn camos for your weapons and fade into the background.

The online multiplayer component of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" lets players equip their characters with a number of primary weapons that include assault rifles, submachine guns, light machine guns and sniper rifles. Players can customize each class of these weapons with various camouflage patterns, or camos. These camos help a player's weapon blend into the background in the game, and the prestigious "Fall" camo signifies a player's skill. Gamers can customize each weapon with eight camo patterns. Each weapon comes with two available patterns --- desert and arctic --- and players unlock the remaining six by getting "headshot" kills on enemies.

Getting Started

1. Click on "Play Online" in the "MW2" multiplayer menu. Click "Find Game." Enter games of Free for All and play a few rounds with the same group of players. Watch for any players who are boosting --- letting each other score easy kills in order to unlock weapons or camo patterns or complete challenges.

2. Press the "PlayStation Network" button in the center of your controller to bring up the PSN menu. Scroll to the "Friends" icon. Scroll down and click on "Players Met."

3. Click on the names of any of the players you saw boosting in the lobby or any player with whom you'd like to boost. Highlight and click on "Send Message." Type that player a message asking if he would like to boost for camos.

4. Add any players to your PSN Friends List who agree to help you boost. Enter a Free-for-All lobby and highlight and click on "Invite Players." Send invites to one of your friends who will boost with you. If you and your boosting friend do not use headsets, send your friend a message to meet at a specific location on one of the maps.

5. Click on the "Create a Class" option in the multiplayer main menu and equip one of your characters with the weapon for which you want to earn the camo. Attach a silencer to that weapon. Select "Tactical Insertion" as your equipment and ask your boosting buddy to also use Tactical Insertion.

In Game

1. Run to the predetermined boosting location or communicate through your headset to let your friend know where to meet on the map. Wait for your friend to arrive and set down his tactical insertion. Pick an area on the outskirts of the map where other players won't interrupt your boosting session by killing you and your friend.

2. Aim your weapon so that the crosshairs line up on the head of your friend's character. Press the "R1" fire button until you have fired enough bullets to kill your friend (the number of bullets varies by weapon).

3. Wait for your friend to respawn and set down another tactical insertion. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until you have earned enough headshots to unlock all of the camo patterns you want for each particular weapon.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have friends that play "MW2" online on a PS3, add them to your friends list and set up boosting sessions with them.
