Take advantage of the firewall software to block traffic.

Security is an important concern when setting up an Internet connection on your local area network. Blocking incoming traffic from IP addresses known to distribute malicious code is a simple procedure with the WNR3500 Netgear router. This router has firewall software that automatically blocks incoming traffic from any site you block access to in the Content Filtering menu during setup. Sites can be blocked by IP address, domain name or keyword. You also have the option of blocking individual sites by the time of day.

    • 2

Type "http://www.routerlogin.net" in the browser's address field and press the Enter key.
