How to Download a Slideshow From Picnik to Facebook

Picnik is a free photo-editing and file-storage service that allows you to upload images from a wide variety sources and share them with your friends and social networks. Picnik doesn't limit you to individual photos, however; you can also create slide shows with up to 10 images from your account's photo library. If you want to share a slide show from Picnik with your Facebook friends, you can use your unique Facebook email upload address to embed a link to your slide show onto your Facebook Wall directly from your Picnik account.

Instructions

      Log in to your Facebook account, and visit facebook.com/mobile. Copy or make note of the unique email address located under the "Upload Via Email" section. This is the email address to which you can send your content to automatically post on Facebook.

      Log in to your Picnik account by visiting picnik.com ,and clicking the "Sign In" link in the upper right corner of the Picnik homepage, then entering your username and password. If you do not already have a Picnik account, you must create one by clicking the "Register" link, and following the on-screen instructions to register your new account. You can't create a slideshow on Picnik as an unregistered user.

      Click the "Library" tab in the menu at the top of the page.

      Click the "Show" sub-tab in the menu below the Library tab.

      Click the "Create a New Show" button.

      Select the "Slide Show" tab under the "Basic Shows" section in the left column.

      Customize the background color for your slide show, as well as the speed at which the images transition. Also select whether you want to include photo captions in your slide show.

      Add photos to your slide show from your hard drive by clicking the "Upload Photos" button at the bottom of the page in the "Photo Basket" footer. A pop-up window appears, displaying the contents of your hard drive. Browse your hard drive for the first image file you want in your slide show. Double-click the image to automatically upload it to your Photo Basket. Repeat this for all the photos you want in your slide show.

      Add photos to your slide show from a Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, MySpace, Photobucket or Yahoo! Mail account, or an external website, by clicking the "Get From Computer" button in the Photo Basket section. Click the source of the photo you want, then follow the on-screen instructions to allow Picnik to access your account, and upload the desired photo to your Photo Basket.

      Drag the photos from your Photo Basket with your mouse, and drop them into the Slides column on the right side of the page. You can change the order the images appear in your slide show by dragging them up and down in the Slides column, as well.

      Customize the title of the slide show by typing a name for it in the "Title" field in the upper left corner of the page below the top menu. You can also change the privacy level of your slide show if you're a premium member, by clicking the "Change" button next to the Privacy section.

      Click the gold "Save" button in the upper right corner of the screen to save your slide show to your public profile.

      Click the gold "Share" button in the upper right corner next to the "Save" button.

      Enter your unique Facebook mobile email address in the "Email Recipients" field. Customize the subject and message fields, as well, as these will both appear in your Facebook status post.

      Click the "Email Your Show!" button at the bottom of the form. A link to your slide show will embed in your Facebook Wall, with full description and title.

Tips & Warnings

  • Free users can upload up to five images at a time to their libraries, while premium accounts can upload up to 100.
