When you create a JPEG image on your digital camera or mobile phone, information is embedded in the file that you may not want others to see, such as the type of camera used to create the image, or with a picture taken on a mobile phone, GPS data detailing where the picture was taken. Because of the potential privacy implications of JPEG metadata, Windows has a built-in function that allows you to hide this data with a single click by removing it permanently from the image.       Right-click the image that you want to hide private information in, and select "Properties" on the pop-up menu.

      Select the "Details" tab at the top of the image properties window.

      Click the "Remove Properties and Personal Information" link at the bottom of the window.

      Click "OK."
