How to Tie a Forever Knot

The forever knot does not work with bow ties.

A forever knot is a tie knot used in weddings. It signifies that the bride and groom will remain together forever. The forever knot is not just for weddings, as some men prefer to wear it in their daily life. The forever knot should take less than a minute to tie and is somewhat easier to master than other types of tie knots. Superstition suggests that only the wife may remove the tie. When she does so, it will unlock a happy marriage.

Instructions

1. Drape the tie around the neck.

2. Pull the wide part over the skinny part.

3. Pull the wide part through the cross to create a simple knot.

4. Wrap the wide part of the tie around the skinny part.

5. Pull the wide part up through the cross.

6. Tuck the wide part under the cross.

7. Pull down on the wide part to adjust and tighten.
