How to Decorate a Boyfriend's House for His Birthday

Women aren't the only ones who love romantic gestures.

He always makes you feel special and brings you flowers when you least expect it. He pampers you with gifts and whispers sweet nothings in your ear. Show your boyfriend what he means to you on his birthday. It doesn't take a large birthday party to show your boyfriend you appreciate him. Small gestures throughout his house are all it takes for your boyfriend to see that he has a special place in your heart.

• Banner
• Twine
• Scissors
• Clothespins
• Cupcakes or cake
• Rose petals
• Silver tray
• Strawberries
• Whip cream
• Massage oils
• Bottle of wine
• Notecards
• Marker

Instructions

1. Decorate the room with candles in his favorite color. Place a couple on the window sill, on the table, on a shelf or desk. Light them all a few minutes before he arrives.

2. Hang a large banner that says "Happy Birthday Joe" over his bed. Or cut scrapbooking paper into large triangles and write out the letters on each triangle. Hang a piece of twine on the wall. Use miniature clothespins to hang the triangles on the wall.

3. Place a couple of cupcakes on the coffee table. Place a brightly colored candle in each cupcake. Cupcakes should be made of his favorite flavor and frosting. Or order a small birthday cake made with his favorite cake flavor with a personal message on top that has his nickname on it.

4. Sprinkle rose petals from the door of his house to the bedroom. Set out two lingerie outfits in his favorite colors on the bed. Let him decide which one he wants you to dress in. Greet him at the door in thigh highs and a short silk robe.

5. Set a silver tray with chocolate covered strawberries, whipped cream, and edible massage oils on his bedroom dresser. A bottle of wine with two glasses also works well.

6. Write the things that you love most about your boyfriend on brightly colored notecards. Tape the notecards in obvious places where he will find them, such as the bathroom, refrigerator, kitchen counter and cabinet doors. Give him messages that will boost his ego such as I love the color of your eyes, the size of your arms, the way you laugh and the way I l feel safe in your arms. Even if you are on a really tight budget and can't afford any other decorations, notecard messages will make him feel special on his day.
