How to Put Pictures Directly on a Craigslist Post

Some Craigslist posts require pictures to be truly effective. If you wish to sell something, for example, including a picture of the item in question can help potential buyers decide to purchase it. If you are not familiar with posting on Craigslist, it may seem that the most effective -- or only -- way to include a picture is by putting a link to the picture within your post. This, however, is not necessary. You can add pictures to the post itself.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin creating your Craigslist post as normal. This includes selecting a category and location for the post.

    • 2

Provide title for your post, a price (if applicable) and your email address. Fill out the body of the post with whatever information you wish to include. If you are selling something, for example, you can describe its history and condition and then provide its estimated value and any other relevant information.

    • 3

Click the "Add/Edit Images" button immediately below the section where you provided your description. This displays four large red Xs, each with a "Choose File" button beneath.

    • 4

Click "Choose File" beneath the first large red X. This opens a window that allows you to navigate your computer. Find the image you wish to post in this window, click it to select it and then click "Open." The red X should turn into a green O. Repeat this process for each of the other Xs, if desired.

Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page to continue with the posting process. Follow Craigslist's prompts to finish placing your post on Craigslist. This includes following a link in an email sent to the address you provided.
